I don't think you are at all.
I checked your blog and would be glad to live in nearly any one of your photos.
This photo is a postcard I found in New London CT last week scanned with origami paper behind it. All effects were done through Picasa which is simple fun for someone like myself that always wanted to be be a color painter. Helen Frankenthaler anyone?
I have difficulty expressing myself at times. Different learning disabilities perhaps, seems to be a family trait.
Pictures are so much more succinct.
